Obituary for Kathleen M. Firestone

Kathleen M. "Sam" Firestone, 74, of Myerstown, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at ManorCare Health Services, Lebanon.

She was the wife of Larry P. Firestone, to whom she was married 56 years on June 10th.

Born in Fredericksburg on August 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Julia (Schwalm) Kohr.

Kathleen was employed as a floral arranger at Royer's Flowers & Gifts, Lebanon, for 23 years.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with her husband and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is also survived by daughters, Vicki, wife of Bradley Menzel, of Lebanon, Crystal, wife of the late Floyd McMinn, of Salisbury, NC, Raymie, wife of Craig Null, of Myerstown; sons, David Firestone, of Palmyra, Timothy, husband of Janelle Firestone, of Pottsville, Daniel Firestone, of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Dolly, wife of Russell Henning, Sr., of Fredericksburg, Beatrice, wife of the late Ronald Klepper, of Jonestown, LuAnn, wife of Charles Mengle, Sr., of Fredericksburg, Linda, wife of Glenn Moyer, of Rehrersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, David and Michael Kohr, and a sister, Wendy Kohr.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 12 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 1031 Guilford Street, Lebanon.
