Obituary for Todd A. Heckard

Todd A. Heckard, 57, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Lebanon on February 1, 1960, he was the son of the late George S. and Joyce L. (Fox) Heckard.

He was a 1978 graduate of Cedar Crest High School and attended the Lebanon County Career & Technology Center.

Todd was employed as a truck operator for PennDot for 11 years, retiring in 2015.

He was a member of the Goodwill and Mt. Aetna Fire Companies, Myerstown VFW Post 6076, R Field & Stream, Lebanon, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, watching sports, especially the Phillies, animals, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Todd is survived by sons, Joseph Heckard, of Lebanon; Scott, husband of Stacy Heckard, of Lebanon; his companion, Cyndi Thomas, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Keira, Levi, and Asher Heckard; sister, Denise, wife of Lester Strunk, of Stouchsburg; half brother, George Heckard, Jr.; and a nephew, Michael Kohr. He was preceded in death by a half brother, Paul Heckard.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067.
