Emily R. Huie General Manager EHuie@GroseFH.com

Emily runs the business side of the funeral home. Her duties include human resources, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing. She is a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School and Eastern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Emily joined our staff in 2014. Before joining Grose Funeral Home, she worked at Lebanon Seaboard Corp and Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP. Emily is a member of Zion United Methodist Church and is on the board of the ELCO Education Foundation. She also teaches ballet at Generation Dance.  Emily resides in Myerstown with her family.

Joseph P. D’Amato, III Supervisor JDAmato@GroseFH.com

Joe was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, where he attended Hazleton Area High School. Upon graduating in 2008, Joe matriculated to Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) where he earned credits toward his Associates in Applied Sciences degree. At LCCC, he tutored fellow students in various levels of mathematics. While attending LCCC, he also spent numerous hours helping at Habitat for Humanity. In addition to it all, Joe maintained Dean’s List status. He continued his education at Northampton Community College where he completed his degree in Mortuary Science. He was a member of Sigma Phi Sigma, a funeral service honor society. Joe earned a 4.0 GPA in all of his funeral related courses. Joe completed his internship in June of 2012 and received his PA Funeral Director's License in July of 2012. He looks forward to providing care and comfort for families in their times of need. Joe has been a life-long member of the Roman Catholic Church, Most Precious Blood, in Hazleton. He is also a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church in Myerstown. In his free time, Joe enjoys golfing, playing tennis, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  Joe resides in Mount Aetna with his wife, T'rese.

Catherine was born and raised in Lebanon County, where she graduated from ELCO High School in 2013. She earned her Mortuary Science degree at Northampton Community College in 2021. Catherine resides in Palmyra with her family.

Monica L. Polachek Funeral Director MPolachek@GroseFH.com

Monica was born and raised in Northeastern PA where she graduated from Carbondale Area Jr./Sr. High School in 2008.  While attending Lock Haven University, she became interested in Funeral Service. Monica transferred to Northampton Community College to earn her Associates Degree in Applied Science with a concentration in Funeral Services. She is member of Sigma Phi Sigma, a funeral service honor society. While attending Northampton Community College, she was a Community Assistant aiding her peers in a variety of ways.  Monica served part of her internship in Pittsburgh, PA and finished in Simpson, PA earning her Funeral License in March of2013. She is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, York, PA and the American Legion Auxillary. Monica enjoys softball, being outdoors, and especially spending time with her family. She has 2 children, Madelina and Alexavier.

Paul A. Nee Funeral Assistant

Paul A. Nee, Funeral Assistant, is a longstanding, valued staff member. A native of Bedford, PA, Paul graduated from Bedford High School, the Williamsport Technical Institute, and Elizabethtown College. Paul served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard / U.S. Army Reserve from 1963 through 1969 and attended U.S. Army Officer Candidate School in 1965. Paul retired from DORMA Door Controls Inc., Reamstown, following a 45-year career in manufacturing as a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality and Environmental Systems Manager. An expert in International Standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, he was awarded the ISO9000 Lead Assessor Certificate by the Batalas International Quality Consultants and the LRQA Internal Supplier Auditor Certificate. He authored a textbook, “ISO 9000 in Construction” and conducted International ISO 9001 related training to the construction industry. Known for his civic mindedness, Paul was a member and past president of the Myerstown Jaycees, the Jackson Township Playground Association, the ELCO School Board for 7 years, where he served as president from 1991 to 1993, and Zion United Methodist Church, where he served on the Administrative Council for 40 years and serves as its current president. Paul resides in Myerstown and has two daughters, Melissa Nee Saylor and Jenifer Nee Andrews.

Neal R. Galbraith Funeral Assistant

Neal is retired from the US Navy as MasterChief with 23 years of service.  In 2022, he retired from Lebanon Seaboard Corp following a 27-year career.  Neal is a Boy Scout leader, a member of the Lebanon County Choral Society, and a Holy Trinity Lutheran Church member where he serves as Lay Assistant, a member of the senior choir, and the church council president. Neal volunteers at Camp Kirchenwald, the Lebanon Valley Bicycle Recycle, and LCCM Fresh Start and Noon meal programs.  He joined our staff in 2024, assisting with visitations and services.

Ken was born and raised in Minnesota. He worked in the agricultural industry before moving to Pennsylvania. Ken was a vocational instructor at Teen Challenge in Rehrersburg for 10 years. He returned to the agricultural industry, doing research and technical training in the field of plant and soil sciences. Ken has traveled throughout the world teaching and training others in the science of soil health. Ken has been a member and leader at Tri County Worship Center in Bethel since 1987. Now semi-retired, Ken began assisting at Grose Funeral Home in 2024.  His responsibilities include assisting visitors at visitations and services and assisting our on-call funeral directors.

Mark Newswanger Funeral Assistant

Mark has lived in Myerstown most of his life, where he attended Myerstown Mennonite School. He has worked at Deck's Garage and was the service manager at Martin Appliance in Myerstown.  Mark became the owner of Mark's Exxon in Myerstown, retiring after 30 years of ownership.  Mark is a member of Womelsdorf Mennonite Church and volunteers as director of the Lighthouse Thrift Store in Myerstown and Newport, PA.  Mark joined our staff in 2025 and is in charge of the building and vehicle maintenance, and assists with services and visitations.
